NATIONAL SEMINAR ON PHILOSOPHICAL COUNSELLING 🎙️
VIA SOCIO-PHILOSOPHICAL PERSPECTIVE IN CLASSICAL FILMS DOWN THE AGES
Jharkhand Philosophical Forum (JPF) is organizing a National-Level Academic Seminar aimed at promoting interdisciplinary dialogue among philosophers, scholars, counsellors, film thinkers, and students. The seminar reflects JPF’s vision of Public Philosophy, Applied Ethics, and the integration of philosophical thinking with real-life experiences and cultural expressions such as cinema.
Objectives of the Seminar –
- To examine philosophical counselling through socio-philosophical interpretations of classical films
- To treat cinema as a philosophical text reflecting ethics, values, and social meanings
- To explore ethical dilemmas, psychological conflicts, and lived social realities depicted in films
- To engage Indian and Western philosophical traditions in cinematic analysis
- To highlight cinema as a medium for philosophical reflection and counselling practice
- To promote moral awareness, mental well-being, and cultural understanding through film-based inquiry
